This was not supposed to happen. It was a brilliant case.
A patient had a host of incapacitating conditions and started Gillespie Approach therapy. Once the strain was released in his body, he felt great and was done, right?
I am referring to the man with a history of six concussions in a recent post. He felt terrific for four months. For no reason, his symptoms returned with a vengeance. What happened?
His neurologist was totally confused. When the patient originally presented to him, all of the medical testing came back normal. The doctor really had no definite answer and diagnosed “arthritis.”
When I completed therapy and he returned to his neurologist feeling great, the doctor was perplexed on how that could happen. When the patient recently returned to him after the symptoms came back, the neurologist was totally confused since all the medical testing was normal. What was going on?
I often discuss the traumatic onion with its many layers. When a patient starts therapy, the layers are peeling. As I listen to the body, it shows me what it wants to release in space and time at that moment. I am totally dependent on the body directing the healing.
Apparently, all of the trauma from his six concussions was not fully released, and his body was ready to peel more layers. The medical profession has no model that explains this phenomenon. In our world, this outcome is unusual, but I am pointing out its possibility for clearer understanding.
He presented with a zero-second brain cycle, which opened to fifty seconds. Even if his health returns with more therapy, I do not know if all of the strain will be out of his body.
I just listen and accept that the body is healing itself. I do not have to know why this is happening to him. The healing game is much larger that my rational mind can comprehend.
