A middle-aged woman presented with a list of issues. As the chief complaint, she had right ear pain along with headaches behind her right eye, jaw tightness, sinus pressure, neck pain, upper back pain, and lower back pain.
She was on many medications and had orthodontics twice (never a good sign). She also broke her nose twice heading the ball in soccer. As an interesting aside, her dad, an OB-GYN, delivered her, and her mother was a midwife.
She had a zero-second brain cycle and was tight throughout her body. She also was an archer, going into a deep twisting extension that originated in her pelvic floor.
When I held her legs, they went into a huge pretzel twist that took a number of sessions to help release. This fetal position is generally the root cause of many issues.
I also worked on her lower back strain during the first session. Without even touching any body part above the waist, her brain cycle opened to 60 seconds—the power of the full-body fascial web connection.
If you have a patient with a myriad of symptoms, please honor the pelvic floor. Many women have had episiotomies or tearing as the root of their issues. Medical providers tend to manage the various conditions while we strive to find the root cause so the body can authentically heal itself.
By the end of the fourth visit, her strains were releasing beautifully with her brain cycle opening to 200 seconds. She felt more relaxed in her body, and her head was more comfortable.
I applaud the spirit of these patients because they unknowingly suffer needlessly from their birth trauma. They get up every day, put a smile on their faces, and struggle through life in pain. When they seek health care, no one can find their answer.
When she becomes strain-free and hopefully pain-free, I believe that she will have a totally different outlook on life. Gillespie Approach Training is a must for all neonatal providers.
