Authentic Healing Revisited
Today the work showed me authentic healing and mothering at its finest.
A young lad presented after a fall where he hit his head on cement. His usual 200-plus-second brain cycle went to zero seconds, and his chiropractor said his neck was tight.
Since I have seen him from birth, I knew that this one trauma would probably be presenting first. When I started the session, his body went right back into that space and time.
Just before the fascial web released, he started to cry, like he did in the accident. He held his arms out on the table to his mom, just like it happened after the trauma.
I let them have some bonding time together for his body to process, and then mom said, “Barry needs to do a little more for you to feel all better.” He was OK with that, and we finished therapy.
A major healing principle: The fascial web remembers its emotional and physical traumas. That is my story and I am sticking with it.
“Disease begins in the fascia.”
