Bladder prolapse - woman experiencing pain - Gillespie Approach–Craniosacral Fascial Therapy

Bladder Prolapse

At times, this therapy amazes me. I am always exploring the outer boundaries of its effectiveness.

If a patient presents with an unfamiliar condition, I will search for information on the Internet. I am specifically thinking whether fascial web restrictions can play a role in its disease process. If positive signs present, I feel good about the possibility that the Gillespie Approach can help that patient.

A woman presented with a bladder prolapse due to her second birth. She felt a lot of pressure in her pelvic floor and had a history of an episiotomy and second-degree tears. She had an acceptable eighty-second brain cycle but severe fascial strain in her pelvic floor.

Her doctor referred her to a pelvic floor physical therapy group. The therapists told her that she would need weekly visits, including internal work, for at least a year. Their best projected outcome would be for the prolapse to progress to one better grade. If therapy was not effective, surgery may be needed.

I suggested to her a few visits to see if therapy could move the needle. She did well after the first session as I listened to her body while she held her pelvic floor and bladder through her clothes. After the second visit, she continued to progress nicely.

By the third visit, all the symptoms of the prolapse were gone—a miracle in her mind. My thought was for her to return to the doctor for a checkup to verify the outcome.

I will be the first to say that our work does not correct all women with bladder prolapse. This was just one instance where all of the ducks lined up.

But I can say that the Gillespie Approach may be a great option to try first. If the body is not responding, conventional therapy is still available.

Since the fascial web connects every cell of the body, some fascinating outcomes can happen. Gillespie Approach Training can unlock the healing door for many patients.

Patient Testimonial

“I am eternally grateful for Dr. Gillespie’s approach. I was hopelessly seeing the physical therapist and was extremely uncomfortable pretty much all the time. After a total of four therapy sessions, I am feeling back to normal with no discomfort. I am completely amazed!”
