We have gone in great detail to the effectiveness of the infant work for many conditions. We need to mention where we could not get consistent results. CFT/IDM was very effective to help babies relax and take naps during the day, but was not effective for them sleeping completely through the night. Breastfeeding babies normally woke many times to be fed or be close to mom. When we started the research, we saw older babies who were cutting teeth; therapy was not effective for their teething discomfort. In my practice I was unsuccessful with infants with undescended testicles. I thought that pelvic fascial strain would be an issue but that was not the case in the few I treated. We also had no effect on cleft lip and palate infants as far as oral correction without surgery. CFT/IDM has its place in newborn/infant health and well-being, but cannot do it all.
