Lyme Disease at Birth

I have been wondering for a while if Lyme disease crosses the placenta into the fetus. An LA mom confirmed it in a conversation this morning. Her first child was born with Lyme disease. With our infant work, we are excellent at structural issues. But there may be other factors like prescription drug toxicity/addiction, bacterial/viral infection, parasites, heavy metals, and the like that may adversely affect the health of the newborn. I see a small population of very conscientious and aware parents, but in the real world we need to realize that anything is possible.
