The New Eye Pathology Model

I am strongly suggesting that eye pathology needs to be viewed in the context of the craniosacral fascial system. Since 64% of all adults have eye issues, I believe that leap would be a monumental advancement in eye health.

Currently, the eye profession primarily focuses on the two eyeballs located in the boney sockets. A shift needs to take place where eye pathology is seen as a whole body problem.

A patient wearing glasses presented with headaches and nausea. After a few visits, those issues cleared from her body, and her eyes, unexpectedly to her, started to correct.

She became excited about the possibility of not having to wear glasses and decided to go down the rabbit hole of complete eye correction. I did a number of visits connecting the dots of fascial strain as the eyes were nicely correcting over time.

On the sixteenth visit, her lower back was sore. When I connected that back strain to each eye, she went into extreme neck whiplash and felt immediate change in each eye, as if more correction was happening.

I am hopeful that when her therapy is complete, her vision, like mine did at 65 and still holding at 78, will return to 20/20.

In Gillespie Approach philosophy, every cell of the fascial web is connected to every other cell, including all of the cells of the eyeball. Since the web holds all of its strains from conception, any number of them can readily pull on the eyes to create distortion and eventual pathology.

I believe that once the profession discovers that eye disease involves much more than the eyeball, there will be a greater understanding of how the body works as one unit.

I am equally excited in having the eye profession discover that the work done on all newborns can minimize or prevent many eye issues later in life. Gillespie Approach Training is a great tool for all healthcare providers.
