How can a 27-year-old “medically healthy” woman present with a laundry list of sixteen issues?
She had a zero-second brain cycle and a huge neck and trunk fascial twist. When I placed my hands on her neck, I felt this distinct twist in her neck spiraling down into her trunk.
I often see this with fussy infants. When I help them work out this strain pattern, they become happy babies.
Sometimes I wonder what happens to those babies who are never diagnosed and treated. I believe this story is about one such patient.
She had seen many doctors and had extensive medical testing without any positive results. There is no testing for fascial strain; it needs to be felt.
She presented with the following issues: brain fog, no energy, a lifetime of digestive problems, tightness, can’t exercise, anxiety, teeth clenching, tenseness, depression, pain in neck and shoulders, headaches, balance difficulty, lack of coordination, poor circulation with blue feet, and her arms and legs can fall asleep. With more intake time, the list would have been longer.
She lives a healthy lifestyle, but nothing has gotten her out of this funk. I believe that birth trauma created so much fascial strain in her body that her overall function has been compromised her whole life. Her body needs some help to heal itself.
In therapy, her spine and trunk went into a 90-degree twist from her pelvic floor. As I revisited this strain many times in the initial visit, her brain cycle opened to a terrific 70 seconds. She felt a lot looser on the left side of her body.
My suggestion would be to continue therapy to peel the onion and mitigate the strain. It is disconcerting to think about how many people on the planet have a similar story. Gillespie Approach Training for infants and newborns is a must for all neonatal providers.
