Deeper breaths - boy smiling - Gillespie Approach–Craniosacral Fascial Therapy

“Deeper Breaths”

A patient at birth was on oxygen for 14 minutes before being able to take his first breath. He presented to me at thirteen years of age with breathing difficulty, anxiety, low energy, and focus and concentration issues. No health professional connected his breathing difficulty dots in time.

He was born breech two weeks late, and his butt-first presentation required a cesarean section. His dog bit him on the back of his head at four years of age. Otherwise, his history was noncontributory.

He presented with a zero-second brain cycle and a fascial trunk twist from his diaphragm into his head. I spent the entire visit trying to work through this strain. He ended the session feeling better, with a brain cycle of 70 seconds.

When he returned for the second visit a week later, he said that he could take “deeper breaths.” His brain cycle had reached 120 seconds on its own with no additional therapy.

I explained to his parents that I am helping his fascial web get unstuck on the first visit. As part of the authentic healing concept, some bodies may just continue loosening the fascial web.

I am not trying to “fix” or “cure” anyone of a disease. I am just trying to help the body free up its tissues so that it can heal and function better.

During therapy, the strain went deeper into his tracheobronchial tree as his chest coiled inward. His finished the session at a brain cycle of 220 seconds, an amazing jump for just two therapeutic visits.

When I see this incredible response, I believe that the Gillespie Approach is the missing piece of healing for that particular individual. His body was hypothetically waiting for someone to tap into its story to help take a giant leap forward in health.

I believe his other issues will improve with future visits as his nervous system moves from sympathetic (fight or flight) mode to parasympathetic (calm and relaxed) mode. I also believe that millions of people, who are suffering from nervous system dysregulation, can benefit in their own way from this work.

Gillespie Approach Training is a great tool for healthcare providers. We are blessed.
