The Diversity of the Gillespie Approach

The value of the Gillespie Approach is that the entire body can receive correction through the release of the craniosacral fascial system. Many seemingly unrelated conditions can be healed at the same time.

A thirty-year-old woman primarily presented with migraines along with nausea, fertility and pelvic floor issues, and also wore glasses. She has had three concussions in her life while playing field and ice hockey.

She had seen many doctors and therapists over the years for the migraines without success. She wanted to give this approach a try to see if it could help her.

On the evaluation visit, she had a 20-second brain cycle with pelvic strain that twisted up into her neck and head. I felt this restriction offered a lot of potential for healing.

As her tissues were releasing and her brain opened on the first visit, she felt a warm sensation in her head. When she left the office with a 90-second brain cycle, she said that she felt different in a way that was hard for her to explain.

When she came in for the next visit, she had not had a headache all week, a little unusual, and her nausea was better. Her left hip was straining hard into her pelvic floor, and her right neck twist presented in full force before releasing.

I am hopeful that she will continue to improve in the coming weeks. The beauty of the Gillespie Approach is that the craniosacral fascial system touches all of the body’s bases.

She was considering pelvic floor physical therapy for her fertility issue. Maybe her reproductive system was just tight and not functioning well. Maybe if that system frees up in therapy, she may be able to conceive. I have seen that phenomenon happen many times in my career.

Maybe the reason why she required corrective glasses for distance was that fascial strain from her body was pulling on her eyes. Maybe if that strain is greatly reduced, her eyes may start to correct on their own. That happened to me at 65 after wearing glasses for 50 years.

When a patient presents to me, I am thinking of all of their lifetime traumas since conception that can possibly be affecting their body. When you understand the space and time concept in therapy, anything becomes possible with our authentic healing.

Everyone needs to be checked at birth and after major traumas of life. Gillespie Approach Training can help providers alleviate a great deal of suffering.

The Patient Emails

“After my first visit alone, I could physically feel the blood moving more freely through my body. My husband also commented that he thinks my brain is ‘more awake’ and ‘back online’ after one visit!

“I have had many diagnoses [hypothyroidism, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)] and have been medicated at different times, often with little to no change or relief. I have also been to fertility doctors who have similarly only suggested medications or invasive treatments that we did not participate in.”
