Forceps and vacuum extraction at birth - boy wearing hood and baseball cap - Gillespie Approach–Craniosacral Fascial Therapy

A Forceps and Vacuum Extraction Birth

This is one of the times that I feel that life is definitely not fair.

A fifteen-year-old boy presented with sleep issues, anxiety, continuous colds, growing pains, and difficulty in school, primarily a reading comprehension disorder. His mother said he was attending a tech school because he worked well with his hands.

That statement struck a deep chord in me. I also had reading comprehension problems, which limited my scope of possible life professions.

He presented with a zero-second brain cycle and tightness throughout his body. He had braces for a year and some noncontributing traumas.

His mother zeroed in on his horrendous birth. The labor was hard, she needed an episiotomy, forceps were unsuccessful, and vacuum extraction was finally successful. I had never seen a patient who had both performed—a potential craniosacral fascial nightmare.

Since he could not latch, he had oral tie surgery. He had all of the other fussy baby attributes—gas, reflux, colic, and constipation.

I believe that fascial strains, which caused these conditions, were still present, causing his current diseases. The medical profession had just changed their labels.

While holding his head doing the fronto-occiptial release, I felt a rock-hard head soften in about twelve minutes. I felt like being part of a miracle.

With just this technique, his brain cycle opened to an amazing 90 seconds. Sometimes, people say that this work can be life-changing; I believe that this is one of those times.

With such a great first visit, I am expecting a promising future for this boy. I have nothing against tech schools, but what if he might develop other interests in life. The goal in our therapy is to help the child become the best that she or he can be.

The continuing nightmare is that these traumatized babies are still falling through the cracks without therapy at birth. Gillespie Approach Training is so needed for birth healthcare professionals.

Mom Emails

“My son has been feeling great since the first visit, though resting, resting, and resting.

“As more background, he began experiencing significant anxiety and was labeled with OCD at age 13. This came on out of nowhere.

“He suddenly started associating leaving the house with uncertainty and fear, and he missed so much school that we had to attend truancy meetings. He saw our family doctor and then an OCD/anxiety specialist.

“We were told he would suffer from OCD for the rest of his life. This was the start of what turned out to be a very difficult year and led us to homeschool.

“On a positive note, he is already feeling inspired by his visit with you. He has begun to allow himself to think that he can be more than a ‘blue-collar worker,’ someone limited to a trade because he always felt too stupid for anything more.

“This is huge for us because, for years now, my son has felt that he was stupid, and that he wasn’t on par with his peers. Even just the whisper of further possibilities is revolutionary for me, and as a mother, it brings me to tears.

“Thank you for everything, Dr. Gillespie. You are a dream come true!”
