A new phrase has been added to our lexicon. A mom presented with her baby telling me all about her “Gillespie kid.” She went off on all of the things her three-year-old son can now do that his peers cannot do because of his infant therapy. Even his teachers have taken notice. I have heard similar stories from other mothers over the decades.
For the new readers I believe that when the brain is running a long expansion and contraction cycle and the fascial web is free in early infancy, the child has the best opportunity for excellent cognition. Even though I cannot explain the precise science, this phenomenon repeats continually in clinical practice. I am assuming that the cerebrospinal fluid has unimpeded motion through the complete ventricular system bringing nutrients and detoxifying the brain optimally.
She told me she wanted her second child to be a “Gillespie kid” also. After six visits of therapy with me, she reported that her six-month-old daughter was also doing advanced activities for her age. When her baby finished therapy with me, her brain cycle was 270 seconds, another possible “Gillespie kid” in the making.
My wish is that one hospital gets onboard and produces thousands of “Gillespie kids.” When the world finally gets it, there will be a “Gillespie kid” generation, a great thing for the planet. I trust that God is in control.
