The Gillespie Approach at birth can be a health game changer by giving newborns the best possible chance to thrive and be the best they can be. This is my vision:
- Obstetrics/Gynecology: The Gillespie Approach is part of a healthy plan before conception to become strain-free. During the ultrasound visits, potential in-utero trauma must be a part of the equation in regard to fetal position, space limitation, fibroids, the umbilical cord, multiple births, a bicornuate uterus, and other factors. Most importantly, the medical profession needs to look at labor and delivery in the context of potential soft tissue birth trauma.
- Neonatology: The Baby Brain Score can be an effective medical tool to assess neonatal neurophysiology. As much therapy as needed for the newborn to become strain-free would best result in a family leaving the hospital with an infant who can breathe well, breastfeed well, digest well, poop well, and nap well.
- Pediatric Medicine: With therapy completed at birth and periodic pediatric checkup visits, I believe there will be significantly less children with asthma, earaches, headaches, eye conditions, swallowing difficulty, speaking difficulty, and other childhood diseases. Pediatricians will have more time to teach children emotional and physical health.
- Dental Medicine: As the fascia of the head and neck structures is released at birth, I believe faces will be widened, oral structures be more symmetrical, airways more opened, and all the tissues positioned correctly to grow into healthy adult structures. Dentists can focus more on monitoring oral health.
- Mental Health: With the brain functioning optimally at a 200-second brain cycle, I believe there will be significantly fewer children with ADHD and associated issues. I also believe that brain-injured babies will have better outcomes.
- Education: With optimal brain function, I believe children will have fewer cognitive issues with better focus and concentration skills at school. Since smart children need to be stimulated, the educational system will need to raise the bar to accommodate brighter students.
I see a world where every child can reach her or his full potential in life. I believe the Gillespie Approach will be an important factor in creating a more peaceful planet.
