One of the great aspects of teaching since 1983 has been meeting a core group of people who believe what I believe: that this work is changing the world. I would like to introduce each one of the Core CFT Group members below. They will tell you about themselves in this section of the website.
You may meet these Core CFT Group members teaching at our seminars. But they are much more than just teachers. They fill the invaluable roles of the idea creators and decision makers at meetings to help me move the work forward. Where I needed help in the past, each person has made an invaluable contribution to help us all to be where we are now.
As we move forward with the newborn work, we are looking for people to join us in helping make this global dream come true. Please feel free to contact any of us to help in this effort. Thank you.
Lisa Roman Lucci
Lisa Roman-Lucci is the founder and President of THRIVE, Wellness from Within, a CFT practice in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, which specializes in the treatment of infants and children but treats clients of all ages.
Lisa studied industrial psychology at Penn State University and spent 12 years working in the long-term healthcare field. She was the National Director of Business Development for Medical & Dental practices, a company responsible for providing Ancillary Medical Services to residents of assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Her passion for helping those who were unable to care for themselves was a driving force in her career choice.
Lisa’s journey into the world of CFT began when she was seeking holistic treatment options for her own children. She was introduced to Dr. Gillespie by Holly Steflik in 2013 and very quickly saw the significant impact and healing that Craniosacral Fascial Therapy could provide.
After taking the initial Gillespie Approach training course, Lisa truly believed that she had found the work she was called to do and enrolled full-time in massage therapy school at the National Academy of Massage Therapy and Healing Sciences in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. She now maintains her status as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Bodyworker.
Lisa has trained extensively with Dr. Gillespie and his teaching team in both the Foundation and Infant/Pediatric work. She is passionate about learning, and is also a Certified Reiki Practitioner and Certified TummyTime™ Method Instructor. Her goal is to facilitate a holistic and individualized journey to healing for each of her clients.
Lisa is a member of the Gillespie Approach Core Group of teachers, and one of her greatest joys is working with Michael and Kristen Myers to teach others and spread this life-changing work. She is also a member of the hospital training team and firmly believes that all babies should have access to CFT at birth. Her mission is to help bring that to reality.
Kim Sherlock is a Pennsylvania Licensed Massage Therapist and has been practicing Craniosacral Fascial Therapy since 2008. She was trained by and taught alongside Dr. Barry Gillespie, who developed The Gillespie Approach– CFT. Since Dr. Gillespie has retired from teaching, she is one of the few practitioners authorized to teach CFT. As a partner in the CFT Global team, Kim has taught classes in South Africa, the United Kingdom and throughout the United States.
Kim’s private practice is located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and has grown tremendously due to positive client results. She treats people of all ages, from newborn to adults and is highly referred for helping those with concussions, migraines, chronic pain, and more.
In addition to CFT, Kim utilizes other fascia-focused therapies that help mobilize and release the fascia. She has trained in Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Massage Cupping, and Gua Sha. Kim believes that fascia is often times overlooked by conventional medicine and is a missing piece in optimizing one’s overall health.
