A former patient with trigeminal neuralgia has had a complete recovery. She has felt great since I completed therapy in March 2024.
Recently, she contacted me saying that her upper-body pain was returning. My first thought was that she had experienced another trauma.
Sure enough, last January, she fell off of a snowboard and landed on her left hand. A torn ligament in her left thumb required surgery.
She presented with a zero-second brain cycle but had strain from that thumb running into her left shoulder, neck, and head. When she fell, her entire fascial web, not just her hand, was traumatized.
She never connected the thumb injury in January with her upper body pain condition now, in March. She thought that her trigeminal neuralgia had returned. As a rule, once all of the causative fascia releases, normal physiology returns and the condition is gone.
She may have only felt pain initially in her thumb, but over time her web restricted to cause shoulder, neck and head pain on her left side.
In therapy that entire area started to release, and her zero-second brain cycle opened nicely at the end of the session. She could amazingly feel immediate relief in her upper body.
I expect a full recovery upon completion of therapy. Gillespie Approach Training is a must to help patients with perplexing issues.
The Patient Speaks
“Dr. Gillespie helped me last year to such a great extent that I felt no pain in the left side of my head or face during the March and April allergy season, which was normally an agonizingly painful time for me. This year, I started feeling my familiar left-side head and face pain at the beginning of March.
I went to Dr. Gillespie after a few weeks of suffering. He identified a recent snowboarding fall that I did not even consider could be the cause of my pain.
During my therapy session, I felt an immediate release in the left side of my face and neck. What a miracle! It felt so fantastic. My head and face pain has not subsided completely, but I look forward to feeling better and better after more therapy.”
