Structural immunity to the rescue.
A seven-week-old had a rough start in life due to his birth trauma—crying, poor sleep, reflux, gas, and arching. Over a series of visits, his zero-second brain cycle went to 230 seconds, his fascial web opened nicely, and these issues cleared out.
Six months later, he tumbled down the top 12 steps to his basement, fell about three to four feet from the open side, and landed on cement. He was rushed to a major children’s hospital for evaluation.
All of the tests were within normal range except for a small bleed and a fractured right temporal bone and left occipital bone. Doctors said these areas would heal on their own.
Six days later, he appeared to be back to normal except for an unusual neck twist. A phone video showed that he appeared to be unwinding his neck to free himself. His doctors said as long as it got better, no need to worry.
The weakness of the current medical system is that no professional initially checked the function of his craniosacral fascial system to address the root of his problem. I had measured his brain cycle at 150 seconds, down from 230 seconds from six months ago, but still very good. That probably explained why he was still doing well.
With any untreated baby, the brain cycle probably would have gone to zero seconds with that fall. His web checked out well except for some new neck strain. Once that released at the first visit, his brain cycle went to 250 seconds, better than his last visit six months ago.
I do not understand the science around structural immunity, but I saw it repeatedly in the Lancaster research. There seems to be an unknown positive factor of releasing the strain around the brain early in life and allowing it to function for an extended period of time to maintain its rhythm regardless of future trauma.
I believe that structural immunity will be an added feature for children’s health when this work becomes the standard of care for all newborns in America. Gillespie Approach Training is needed for every newborn provider in America.
