Baby Day Post: A number of people have been emailing me recently about seeing babies who have been diagnosed with craniosynostosis, a premature fusion of the skull bones, and directed to neurosurgery.
I have seen a number of these babies over the years for a second opinion. Yes, they all came in with zero cycles, BUT they all opened at the first visit. None of them ever did need surgery.
If after the first visit of CFT and there is no movement, that may be the case. But I just have never seen a true case of craniosynostosis. I know if I were a newborn, I would beg for CFT first before surgery. (Sorry can’t resist—it is a no-brainer.)
