A 60-year-old man presented with chronic neck pain and left-sided jaw misalignment. If I had seen him in 1975 as a periodontist, I would have done all the conventional bite, jaw and dental appliance work. Most dentists would probably continue to do that today.
Now with a clearer understanding of physiopathology, I have seen him weekly for almost three years. To be honest, I have never really paid much attention to his oral structures. He has been deep in his time/space onion with CFT releases throughout his body.
In the past few months, he has developed foot pain for no reason. By connecting the dots in CFT, it strongly appears that in-utero positional feet strain is pulling into his neck and jaw. When he holds each ankle, heel, arch and/or sole, different craniosacral fascial strains activate into his neck and jaw. This probably will not be taught in any dental school anytime soon.
We are optimistic that these layers can be cleared for his body to experience peace. He probably would have needed many CFT visits as a newborn, but his life may have unfolded differently.
