Chronic pain patient - Gillespie Approach–Craniosacral Fascial Therapy

A Chronic Pain Patient

"Between physiotherapists, osteopaths, and chiropractors, I have seen a total of nine practitioners for my chronic lower back pain of the past seven years. As a thirty-year-old man, I was very sad to be affected by this pain after driving an uncomfortable car and suffering a soccer injury. Eventually, I developed a pelvic tilt and my right dominant leg was often doing most of the work while sitting and standing.”

—A patient

I often see this type of patient. Medical providers tend to dump them in the autoimmunity, chronic Lyme, fibromyalgia, or another basket. I focus on how well the craniosacral fascial system is functioning.

A 63-year-old woman presented with head, neck, and back pain. She just painted a general picture, because she was so used to her many health providers blowing her off or not caring about any details.

She had lower-back surgery at twelve and was in a car accident two years ago. I did not press her on specifics, but she has had many traumas during her lifetime.

She had a zero-second brain cycle, and her fascia was tight everywhere. Since her fascia was not talking, I listened to her miniscule cranial motion on the first visit.

When I did the frontal-occipital release, I noticed that the frontal bone started to gently unwind. After a number of sessions, her brain cycle opened to an amazing 60 seconds.

At the beginning of the second visit, she told me that her head felt better. Her full-body fascia started to talk in this session, and her web released nicely to a brain cycle of 120 seconds.

She was feeling better at the start of the third session. Since she discovered that therapy was actually helping her, she opened up by describing her foot pain as her ankle strain released in therapy.

When I reached her neck and upper chest, she said that she has been prone to bronchitis forever. The fascia started to release deep into her respiratory system as her brain cycle reached 160 seconds. I expect her to continue to improve as her craniosacral fascial system opens.

How different would her life had been if she had the Gillespie Approach at birth and checkups throughout her life. Gillespie Approach Training can unlock the healing door for patients.
