A month-old baby presented with the usual fussy baby issues: shallow suck, reflux, gas, right neck torticollis and tilt, and bilateral TMJ. Mom said she was constantly looking to the right. There was fascial strain from her right shoulder into her right neck.
A deep lower back strain appeared in therapy and released over a few sessions. Magically—and, I say, magically—everything above it started to release. For the rest of the visit, she was looking straight ahead or to the left. Mom was amazed.
Please be aware that many conditions can arise from lower back strain. It may look like the problem is in the neck or shoulder, but it originates in the lower back. We work in the space and time continuum of the craniosacral fascial system.
