A mother from the Midwest called me about her one-year-old with torticollis. Whenever the child has physical treatment like PT or DC, breathing spells with momentary unconsciousness often immediately ensue.
There may be many explanations for this phenomenon. One possibility is that during any treatment, the craniosacral fascial twisting is accessed deep in the neck putting pressure on the tracheobronchial tree. We tend to think of torticollis as a exterior visible muscle problem, but the strain can go deep into the center of the neck/trunk.
