As the brain expands and contracts unencumbered, the cerebrospinal fluid flow can naturally bring nutrition and detoxify the brain and spinal cord better. The craniosacral fascial system can act as a “second” brain while remembering and holding every major physical and emotional trauma after conception. The concept of peeling the layers of the onion to get to the individual’s core issues is at the heart of CFT.
In addition, this system creates tensegrity as a stable three-dimentional structure in space. Without it, our body would collapse. I also believe that the health of this system is important in the immune response allowing for instant cellular communication throughout the body.
I am sure there are more currently unknown functions for this system. Someday, I believe that basic scientific research will validate these principles.
