This week I treated the “poster child” fussy torticollis baby, who also had colic, reflux, gas, indigestion, grunting, choking, and latching (left TMJ) difficulty. The classical craniosacral fascial torticollis twist from the pelvis up through the trunk and neck and into the TMJ created a physical reason for all of these conditions.
In the conventional pediatric world, they are all considered separate issues. In my world, they all represent a restriction of the craniosacral fascial system.
Dad said that he constantly needed to be held for settling. He was just not happy.
After three-and-a-half hours of Gillespie Approach–Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, the parents now have a calmer and more relaxed baby. They report that all of the above issues are gone.
Dad said he was content to just hang out alone on the hotel bed this morning. The baby even gave me a smile before he left my office—priceless. The grateful parents are driving home to Virginia with a happy baby.
This therapy should have been done at birth in the hospital. I hope that day comes for every baby on the planet.
