Reflux was usually the last condition to clear for hundreds of babies in our Lancaster research. I am presenting a hypothetical anatomical model for its correction.
Fascial strain anywhere from the digestive organs to the throat may cause reflux. Pelvic strain can also concomitantly pull into the upper body, and cranial strain can likewise restrict the trunk. Thus, reflux can be a full-body fascial problem.
As the fascial web releases over the therapeutic visits, the diaphragm typically remains the last area of tightness. In addition to reflux, a tight diaphragm can also cause breathing issues, hiccups, and coughing. When the fascial strain here generally clears, these issues can then fade away, usually leaving only the reflux.
The diaphragm often can remain tight at the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) causing reflux. This sphincter is located at the junction of the esophagus and stomach, for most people encircled by their diaphragm. When this area clears of fascial strain, the infants can become truly happy babies.
