This is the real world.
A young man presented today with ADHD and anxiety. During his first therapy session, his fascial web started to release, but his brain did not respond from its zero-second cycle.
His brain was not opening as expected because he was wearing a fixed maxillary orthodontic appliance that was restricting his brain motion. Even after that appliance is removed in three months, he will be going into restrictive braces and arch wires for an extended period of time and then into a maxillary night retainer.
Parents need to make a distinctive choice, since I do not tell anyone what to do. If they continue this approach, I cannot work with their child either now or post-orthodontic care.
The other choice would be to enter my world and use more “brain-friendly” orthodontic appliances like alternative lightwire function (ALF), Herbst, Bionator, Crozat, or Frankel. They would allow me to better help free up the brain tissue, resulting in a good brain cycle, as the child is going through orthodontics.
I feel compassion for all suffering children. I experience joy in showing the world what is possible for newborns. I am a romantic, believing in my vision even if it seems unrealistic. I am just waiting for the world to see its promise.
