Since we look at the human body differently, we expect exceptional outcomes for our patients.
Our big picture revolves around the full-body fascial web that connects every cell of the body. It primarily acts as a matrix allowing for structural tensegrity.
The web also permits the cells to communicate with each other. The liver cells talk to each other, the kidney cells talk to each other, the lung cells talk to the heart cells, and so forth throughout the body. All of the systems like digestive, circulatory, and respiratory are dependent on a free fascial web for peak function.
As long as the fascial system is free, there is an open communication throughout the body. Since the body must attain a state of homeostasis to survive any trauma, the web has to compensate and adapt, reducing the quality of life.
Since all trauma from conception is cumulative, the web may become so restrictive over a lifetime that some major health conditions like cognitive issues and chronic body pain surface. The Gillespie Approach revisits these causative traumas so the web can correct and heal itself, allowing the body to function more efficiently.
Many health modalities do not address the root cause of a problem. The major advantage of the Gillespie Approach is that instead of managing the health issue(s), we are facilitating authentic healing.
The Gillespie Approach has a special interest in the craniosacral system, which is a part of the fascial web. This system needs to function optimally where the brain is expanding and contracting effectively, the sacrum is moving well, and the cerebrospinal fluid is fluctuating efficiently throughout the system.
If tightness in the web is restricting this system, the cerebrospinal fluid may have difficulty circulating through the web and neurological function may diminish. Instead of attempting to “cure” diseases, the Gillespie Approach focuses on reestablishing the function of the craniosacral fascial system for optimal health.
