Healing is a process, not an event.
This is a continuation story about the young lad with neck and eye tics. I had seen him for two visits and helped to work out the fascial strain running from his neck and throat into his eyes.
His brain cycle opened to an amazing 150 seconds, and he felt good. Mom wanted to wait and see how he did before making another appointment.
Surprisingly, I did not hear from her for a few months. She did not expect that any correction would take place that quickly, and I related to her the same feeling.
She said that his tics had been gone for about two months, but then he developed a cough and hiccups. When his tics returned a few weeks later, she contacted me for another appointment.
At his third visit, I found that strain was now presenting in his diaphragmatic area, probably causing his cough and hiccups. I remembered that when I originally checked him, this area had been clear.
I found in therapy that his diaphragmatic fascia was now pulling on his neck and throat, which was straining into his eyes. I theorized that I had accessed another layer of his onion where the strain was connecting more dots.
After I worked on him, mom wanted to see how he did before making another appointment. I surmise that either he may have more strain deeper in his diaphragmatic area, or if it clears, he may have pelvic strain pulling into his diaphragm then on to his neck, throat, and eyes.
The fascial web connects everything in the body in terms of space and time. If the provider can become quiet, listen intently, and facilitate the body, the body truly possesses the wisdom to heal itself beautifully.
Someday, I believe this work will be the standard of care for every newborn in America. Every body needs a great start in life. Gillespie Approach Training can open the door for authentic healing.
