The focus of our work is now prevention at birth. But we cannot forget the children who have issues now. I originally did the asthma and other conditions work over 30 years ago, and I still feel it all is valid. But the big push is now the baby work, which will give children and parents totally different outcomes through prevention. People will never know what was in store for their children down the road in life. How great is that?
When I grew up in the 40s, polio was the scourge of the Western World. People were dying and having paralysis – not a great situation. At the time the focus was on prevention, and voila, a v*ccine appeared. Similarly, today we have children with many neurological issues of focus, concentration, thinking, and other cognitive skills. Also there are at least 20 core diseases that can diminish a child’s quality of life. With the BBS and CFT, these are preventable. It may seem impossible, but everyone is going to have to accept that concept. It is just a matter of time before we hit the tipping point and this goes global.
