The Gillespie Approach Is Much More Than a Happy Baby

Mothers generally present with their infants with one or more of our fussiness issues (breastfeeding difficulty, colic, reflux, gas, indigestion, and constipation). Their sole mindset is to have a happy baby.

Some moms may feel that the financial and time commitments are too much, and will wait for their infants to “grow out of” their conditions. I believe that these tight babies can instead “grow into” many pediatric conditions. Either you deal with smaller problems now or bigger problems down the road.

Our work involves much more than fussy babies, and I believe the visits and money are well spent for the following reasons:

  • All of the body systems are opened. Since the entire fascial web is relaxed after completed therapy, all of the organs, bones, muscles, blood vessels, lymph vessels, and other tissues can function well as nature intended.
  • Optimum breathing is attained. The breath is critical for life as fascial strain is released from the diaphragm, lungs, trachiobronchial tree, trachea, larynx, oropharynx, nasopharynx, and nasal tissues.
  • Healthier children. I believe that children will be significantly healthier with less earaches, asthma, headaches, ADHD, and other pediatric conditions.
  • The nervous system is optimized for cognition—possibly the biggest bonus of all. Infant therapy may portend children reaching their neurological developmental milestones earlier. Often at three years of age, they may be doing advanced activities compared to their contemporaries. Since they may be bored with conventional learning, I see the educational system advancing.

Moms ask me, “Is therapy too late for my child?” Therapy is never too late for anyone. But my vision would be for treatment to be a part of the hospital birth package. Parents would leave the hospital with a baby who can breathe wellnurse welldigest wellpoop well, and nap well—end of story.
