Healing 101 - Gillespie Approach–Craniosacral Fascial Therapy

Healing 101

My thoughts on healing:

1. The body heals itself 24/7. Cellular repair is constant. Red blood cells are being replaced every second. The healing process never ceases. If the body stopped healing itself, death would be imminent. Even in our final moments of life, the body continues to heal itself.

2. The body knows best how to heal itself. The body in its own innate wisdom knows what it has to do in that moment to heal itself.

Too often in our healthcare system, the highly educated provider attempts to manage, adjust, fix, or cure a patient of a disease. I learned in 1980 that I was not as smart as the body and had to trust its wisdom. I have never known any healthcare provider intellectually advanced enough to duplicate that protocol.

The beauty of the Gillespie Approach is that the provider is constantly listening to the body to support its healing. It is holding many layers of traumas from conception and will release each one in its own space and time.

    3. What can the health provider do to assist in healing?

Everyone needs to define his or her role in the healing process. For some, it may be recommending a correct diet for that patient. Others may suggest lifestyle changes or supplementation that support the body’s healing.

Acupuncturists may open the energy flow of the body. Dentists may practice with a holistic mindset. We help to loosen tight bodies for better function.

      4. What can the patient do to assist in the healing?

In addition to the above, one way to live is to intuitively listen to your body. Trust what it is telling you while using the healthcare system as needed.

If you are thirsty, drink water. If you are hungry, eat, If you are tired, rest. If you are running on fumes, sleep. If you feel the need to move, stretch or exercise. If you need quiet time, go for a walk in nature.
