A patient born in Ghana recently told me about native birth practices when she was a girl forty years ago. People would gently loosen the baby directly after birth. I have felt for years that this has been done in many cultures for thousands of years, but was lost in the medical age of the last century. So in our work we are probably “rediscovering” a more scientific based method with the Baby Brain Score and CFT/IDM that will be more acceptable to the global medical community. The world needs to “relearn” that being tight at birth can create serious lifelong quality of life issues.
