A sixty-year-old woman presents this week with low back and TMJ pain. In CFT she apparently has peeled her onion back to her birth trauma where arching her lower back pulls hard on her TMJs.
Krissy, Mike, and I commonly saw this phenomenon in our infant research per breastfeeding issues. We found the fascia from the pelvic floor would strain into the jaws; the breastfeeding would not clear completely until this pelvic strain was gone. The theory that pelvic strain can cause a jaw problem is not widely known in the medical and dental world.
She told me that no health care provider in Canada ever told her they were one and the same problem. In the craniosacral fascial system everything is connected in space and time.
