In treating infants since 1980, I do not remember any little one with a history of a urinary tract infection (UTI). Today I saw a four-month-old who had a UTI right after birth. She spent four days with mom in the hospital on antibiotics.
She presented with severe fascial strain in the bladder area with today’s CFT. Her skin remained bright lobster-red in that area for a while.
I am suspecting that this fascial strain predisposed her for the UTI. Untreated, I wonder how this area would have functioned during her lifetime? In my world newborns need to be strain-free as soon as possible after birth.
