A mom from New York City was the first woman to do preconceived CFT with me. She felt that her body was tight and requested CFT before she conceives her second child. I believe that a woman with a freer craniosacral fascial system can have an easier pregnancy, labor, and delivery, resulting in a healthier child. In the following narrative she describes her six-hour CFT experience over two days.
“Dr. Gillespie treated my son with congenital torticollis over the course of eight appointments. He fully healed from tort without having to resort to the nasty helmets, surgery, needles, or other invasive procedures that many unknowing parents have turned to.
Having seen the benefits of CFT firsthand, I was curious to see what it could do for me. I scheduled some appointments for CFT hoping to eliminate any strain prior to conceiving our second child. I was curious whether a strain-free mother may result in a strain-free baby, as I have heard that CFT may be beneficial to the fetus and to the expecting mom.
During my six appointments, most of the released strain was in my upper body, which Dr. Gillespie described in one word: ‘nasty’. And he’s right, I’ve had strain in my neck and upper back for so long, I don’t know what it’s like for those areas to be pain-free. He actually suspects that due to the depth of strain, I may have been working out some of my unaddressed birth trauma.
In my first day I went from a zero to a 160-second brain cycle and at the end of my second day, the brain cycle was at 300 seconds. I felt like I was floating. I woke up the next day with a sense of calmness I can’t really describe—the burden of the strain was gone and to say I felt ‘better’ was a complete understatement. Did the chronic strain I had in my neck and back have anything to do with my first-born having tort? I don’t know, but I am curious to see the condition of our second child having a less strained mother.”
