Some Consequences of a Long Labor
A family from the Midwest presents this week with their teenage son. He has attention issues, ADHD, and a narrow face with orthodontic concerns.
On examination there was a notable narrowing of the upper skull (parietal bones). His labor was twelve hours, where he spent a lot of time engaged in his mother’s pelvis. I have observed over the decades that this phenomenon can create an internal or medial rotation of the parietal bones and a zero-second brain cycle for many patients.
If left untreated at birth, it can eventually cause cognitive issues and a narrowing of the maxillary bones and mandible. We are connecting the dots between a long labor and seemingly unrelated future conditions.
The goal for this week’s therapy is to free-up the fascial web resulting in a brain cycle of over 200 seconds to help mitigate the cognitive issues. The family can think about a “brain-friendly” orthodontist when they return home.
We hold the Light for the unborn billions. We see a world where every newborn is free from a lifetime of suffering due to birth trauma. Our aim is for every neonate to experience the wonder of therapy. Our goal is to create a global shift in consciousness around newborn health.
