A nine-year-old presented with headaches, ADHD, some cognitive issues, food allergies, asthma, and mouth-breathing. Mom had an emergency caesarian section because the umbilical cord was wrapped around the distressed fetus’ neck. She was a very fussy baby for months with breastfeeding issues, colic, and reflux.
Clinically, she was showing severe craniosacral fascial strain around her neck extending down into her respiratory system. This case shows how the umbilical cord is a critical aspect of the Baby Brain Score (BBS). If this child had CFT/IDM done at birth, I believe the first nine years of her life would have been completely different.
